About Alex McFarland Ministries

Why do you believe Christianity is true?

For many Christians, that's a surprisingly difficult question to answer.

Alex McFarland Ministries exists to help change that.

Led by Christian apologist Alex McFarland, the ministry is committed to proclaiming the Christian message that helps Christians understand what they believe, why they believe it, and how they can communicate their faith to others.

But apologetics isn't meant to end with winning an argument.

At the heart of Alex McFarland's ministry is a desire for people to know Jesus personally and develop a Christian faith strong enough to stand when difficult questions come.

Real Questions Deserve Real Answers

Is there evidence that God exists?

Can the Bible be trusted? Is Jesus really God? Did He rise from the dead? How can Christianity claim to be true when so many other religions exist?

These are the kinds of questions Alex McFarland has spent decades addressing.

Rather than encouraging Christians to avoid skepticism, the ministry teaches believers to engage difficult questions directly. Apologetics becomes a way of examining the evidence for Christianity while learning how to respond to objections with both confidence and grace.

That approach is also meant to help skeptics and people wrestling with doubts seriously investigate Christianity for themselves.

Equipping the Next Generation

Young people have been an especially important part of Alex's ministry.

Before becoming widely known as an apologist and speaker, Alex served as Focus on the Family's first Director of Teen Apologetics. In the early 1990s, he also pioneered the Truth for a New Generation conferences, designed to help teenagers and adults understand and defend the Christian faith.

That emphasis continues through conferences, camps, clubs, and other events.

The goal isn't simply to give young Christians a collection of answers to memorize.

It's to help them develop a biblical worldview—a foundation through which they can understand God, truth, morality, culture, relationships, and the questions they'll encounter as they move through life.

Bringing Apologetics Beyond the Classroom

Alex McFarland Ministries reaches people in many different settings.

Alex has spoken in thousands of churches, schools, conferences, campuses, and other gatherings. His books explore apologetics, Christian living, biblical worldview, and questions about faith and culture.

The ministry also reaches people through The Alex McFarland Show, along with radio, television, podcasts, online videos, articles, and other media.

These different platforms serve the same larger purpose: make biblical teaching and apologetics understandable and accessible to everyday Christians.

Know What You Believe—and Why

Alex McFarland Ministries is built around historic Christian convictions concerning Scripture, the Trinity, the deity of Jesus Christ, His death and resurrection, salvation through Christ, and the Great Commission.

The ministry wants Christians to move beyond simply saying, "This is what I believe."

They should also be able to explain why.

That means studying Scripture, understanding Christian doctrine, examining evidence, thinking carefully about competing worldviews, and learning how to communicate truth without being intimidated by difficult conversations.

Ultimately, though, knowledge is meant to lead somewhere deeper.

At the heart of Alex McFarland Ministries is a desire to help people know Jesus, understand the truth of Christianity, develop a faith that can withstand difficult questions, and become equipped to share and defend that faith with confidence and grace.
